2015 Cabernet Franc
November 2016 DEWN Release
Lots of tobacco and licorice in the nose of this Cabernet Franc. Somewhat rustic, with a grippy texture – not a wine you would serve the Queen! This is definitely Cabernet Sauvignon’s country cousin. Very good, bright acidity and a fresh directness. (Cabernet Franc is nothing if not perfectly frank.)
Food Pairing Notes
The perfect foil for country dishes made with the softer bits – daubes, stews, ragouts, and the like. Staff favorite pairings include Grilled Rib Eye, Burgers topped with melted Cambozola, Punjabi Baingan Bharta (Indian Smoked Eggplant), Moussaka or really any Greek takeout!
